4 Months!!!

I can't believe that my baby is 4 months already! She is growing up way too fast! She has gotten so big and learned so many things this month, it's amazing how quickly they catch onto things! She is definitely getting into the super fun and super busy stage though. We are going to be in trouble when she becomes mobile! :) But we love our little Claire Bear!

Here are her 4 month stats...

At her 4 month check-up she weighed 14 pounds (80th percentile) and was 26 inches long (95th percentile).

She is really good at sitting up and holding her head up.

She likes to play with her toes and gets really frustrated when they keep kicking and she can't grab a hold of them. Haha!

She has already learned to pull off her head bands (and daddy encourages her too! grrrr...) and she will not keep socks on so I have to put tights on under her pants.

She loves to suck on her clothes...especially her dresses.

She can pull her paci out and put it back into her mouth.

She can roll over from her back to her belly and her belly to her back. (But she won't do it unless she has an audience.)

She loves being the center of attention, especially at church.

She LOVES to watch tv.

She likes to grab things like earrings, necklaces, glasses, and hair.

She likes to feel daddy's face when he hasn't shaved, she thinks it's funny and will rub her hands all over and squeal at the same time.

She likes to read books but only if they rhyme.

She has graduated from the bassinet and now sleeps in her own room in her own crib!

She now drinks 5 oz of formula and drinks from a stage three bottle nipple but she still hasn't gotten used to it coming out so fast so most of it ends up on her face and burp rag. hehe.

She smiles ALL the time and now even poses for the camera.

She loves to hear her own voice and will talk and sing all day long.

She has even started laughing! I love it!

She hates going to sleep and will fight you to the death until she passes out in your arms. But when she wakes up and you go in to get her she will kick her legs really fast and hard and smile and squeal! It's the cutest thing and you can just tell that she is so excited to see you!

She loves her car seat and loves the stroller.

She has started reaching for people that she recognizes and will lean her forehead on theirs. (It's her way of showing affection.) She even gives mommy and daddy kisses. She holds her mouth open really wide and puts it on our cheeks. It's very slobbery but sweet!

She has learned how to blow bubbles and she has learned how to spit with her tongue sticking out! It's pretty funny!

She even has a favorite blanky now!

She loves bath time and has learned to splash really good!

She always sleeps with her hands behind her head.

She is in size two diapers and 3-6 month clothes but that won't last for very long!

And she is just the happiest, sweetest, most wonderful baby! We love her death!

My baby the TV Buff

Claire is such a funny baby! She is very observant and loves to watch people and now the TV! Haha if she can't see the TV where she's at she will either strain her neck around to see it or squeal and wiggle until I turn her towards it. So yesterday Joe decided to just put her swing in front of the TV and this is how I found her...

I love her little hands behind her head! It cracked me up so much! I just love her to death!
(Joe added the remote cuz he thought it would be funny.)

October 10th

Yesterday was our second anniversary! I can't believe that it has been two years already but it has been two AMAZING years! I feel so blessed to be married to such an amazing guy! It's crazy to think that Joe was my first boyfriend, the first person I ever held hands with, and my first kiss. But I wouldn't have it any other way! Now after being married two years I have graduated, Joe is half way through school, we have moved three times, and have one adorable baby girl! Life is good and we love it!

So for our anniversary my sister Kayleen watched Claire for us while we went out for dinner and a movie. It was so nice to have a date together without the little munchkin! We went to Olive Garden which we do every anniversary because that's what we did on our wedding day after we were married. And then we went to the cheap seats and watched Cowboys and Aliens. It wasn't too bad of a movie either and we just enjoyed being alone! So happy 2nd anniversary to us!

Our wedding day: October 10, 2009 coming out of the Bountiful Temple

And our 2nd anniversary!

I love you babe! I'm so happy that I get to spend the rest of eternity with you!

Witchy Witchy Screamy Screamy Happy Happy HALLOWEENY!

This past week my sister Kayleen and her cute little family came to visit from Utah! We missed them so much and it has been great getting to spend time with them. On Saturday we left the kiddos home with their daddy's and all of us girls went shopping! It was great to shop without having to haul around a car seat, stroller, diaper bag, or screaming baby and we had a blast. We shopped at the Mini Bazaar and Real Deals in Idaho Falls and they had some really great Halloween decorations. We then went to Sam's Club to run some quick errands and ended the shopping day with Panda Express!

I got this adorable little hat and bow for Claire at the Mini Bazaar! Isn't that hat so adorable?

And later that night we had a big family Halloween party! It was so fun! We made all kinds of yummy, Halloween themed food and dressed the kids up in their Halloween costumes. And then we ended the night with Sixth Sense. (I used to think it was a scary movie now I just think it's sad.)

And here are all the pictures from our fun night!

These are the mummy dogs:

These are witch finger breadsticks that went along with the potato soup. The finger nails are slivered almonds painted with food coloring. They are supposed to be thinner too but they raised a little too long. But they were still fun to make and yummy to eat!

And we had dirt and worms for dessert!

And it was so fun dressing the kids up!

Allie was little Bo Peep and she really did lose her sheep! lol And she refused to look at the camera but at least she looked cute!

Sammy was a monkey!

And Claire was a butterfly!

All three of them together. It was a challenge getting them all to look at the camera though. :)

This picture just cracks me up...Sammy is crying, Allie is distracted by Claire, and Claire is tipping over because she's trying to eat her dress. haha

Allie and Claire

Allie wanted to hold Claire's hand...

...and Claire wanted to suck on her hand.

My boo-tiful baby!

Grandma and GG playing with Claire

So as you can see our Halloween party was super fun! We enjoyed getting to spend time with the family!

Coach Reed

As I mentioned a few posts back, Joe is helping coach football for the Madison High Football team. Needless to say, he LOVES it! Coaching has been his dream for a long time and now he is actually out on the field, coaching these young boys. He coaches defense for both the JV team and Varsity team. He also thinks it's pretty great when the players call him "Coach". He gets the biggest grin on his face when they call him that. :)

Claire and I have attended a few of his games for JV but on Friday we went to the homecoming game. It was CrAzY busy and loud but still super fun to see Joe out there coaching. We also got to see my brother Adam march in the band, which was pretty fun to watch too since I was on the color guard team in high school. My mom, her friend Sarah, Savannah, and Sammy all came to the game too. It was a good game but we lost and I got to hear all about how the refs weren't very fair all the way home. :) It was a fun night though and I enjoyed seeing how enthusiastic my husband his for his football team!

Coach Reed in his coaching gear! He refused to smile because he said, "Coaches don't smile" but...

...I told him that coaches do smile especially when their wives want a good picture! So he smiled for me! :)

Out on the field coaching...

Touch down! You think he was a little bit excited? haha

The band playing. I couldn't find Adam but he is one of the trumpet players.

Claire at the game. It got pretty cold outside!

And somehow I ended up not getting a single picture of three of us but I'll definitely get one before the end of the season!

Claire's First Hair Cut!

Claire has always had a ton of hair. When she was a newborn it was thick, dark, and kind of curly.

But as she has gotten older it has gotten lighter, longer, and has slowly started to fall out...only in a few places though. For I while I was able to cover the bald spots by brushing her longer hair over the bald spot. But that only looked ok for a little while because seriously it looked like my poor baby was molting! And her hair was getting so long that it would do the craziest things, I could never get it to stay in place. (Which is why my sister Savannah nick-named her Crazy Hair Claire. :)) So I decided to trim it up! Savannah came into town and helped me cut it on Friday and now it's all even!

She's still my adorable little Claire, just with a little less hair! :)

Eye Love You

Since our second anniversary is coming up in a few days, Joe and I decided to get our presents early. We both went to Lens Crafters and got our eyes checked and got new glasses! Haha I know it's not very exciting gifts but it was very expensive and needed to be done. This is actually my first time wearing glasses ever. I noticed a few years ago that my right eye was sometimes blurry but my left eye wasn't. Come to find out in my appointment that I have perfect vision in my left eye and my right eye needed a little help. So I wear one contact and my glasses have a prescription lens only on one side. Joe kept laughing at me, he thought it was pretty funny. :) Joe got only glasses this time. He used to wear contacts but they kind of bug his eyes so we got him a pair of new glasses and a pair of sunglasses.

So anyways, happy second anniversary to us! I can't believe that it has almost been two years but it has been an amazing two years! Love you babe!
