Crazy Hair Claire

For Claire's birthday my sister, Savaannah, wrote her a book. I have been so excited to get this book because it describes Claire PERFECTLY! It's all about her and her CrAzY hair and is complete with pictures of our little munchkin.  I'm sure it will be something that she will treasure forever.

So here is the story of a little girl named Claire...

Hi! I'm Claire...

and I have CRAZY hair!

I'm not sure how it started,

but, as soon as I was born,

my hair could be cute and curly

 or a blonde little storm!

When I take a bath,

I get ringlets all around.

Then, when I wake up,

I look like a cute little clown!

Mommy does my hair

in lots of ribbons and bows.

Because I just get more and more hair as I grow and grow!

When I am happy, my curls bounce

along with my great big smile!

When I get tired, I twirl my hair

around my finger for a while.

But, I don't mind one bit.

I love my crazy hair!

I get it from my daddy,

and I'm Daddy's Claire Bear.

A Zoo-per Day!

The day after the 4th, all of us girls decided it would be the perfect day to take the kids to the zoo. We all met at Savannah's, packed the strollers, diaper bags, and kids up and headed over to the Idaho Falls Zoo. We were there as soon as they opened and were the only customers there until it hit 12:00, then it got super busy, fast! It was partly cloudy as well, which made it nice and cool. The zoo was the perfect size for our 8 month-3 year old children! Not too big, not too small. They had a good variety of animals and the kids LOVED it!

Claire and Sammy at the zoo! Love my double stroller
but Sammy had a hard time seeing the animals from the back  so...
...Savannah rented a wagon for Sammy and the diaper bags.
Rex, Kayleen, and Seth enjoying the zoo!
Looking at the animals. She was so serious the entire time,
but normally that means she really likes it!
Looking at the Tigers

If you look really carefully you can see the Tiger between Claire's arm and face.
This picture cracks me up every time! All the kids are smiling but Claire decided to lay on Seth. Silly baby!
 Babies in the strollers!

Seth was just chilling the entire time. ;)

The kids LOVEd the Lions.

Allie and Claire, looking at the zebras.
Allie thought it was so great that her dress matched the zebras!
The otters were the best part of the whole zoo!
They would dive, swim, flip water at the kids. They were so fun to watch!
Waving "hi" to the otters.
The exhibit for the otters was really cool. You could watch them above water  or below.
All four of the kids laughing and waving at the otters.
Sammy and Claire loved watching the monkeys.
She kept saying, "Dis! (this) Dis!" and pointing at them.
Love these three little monkeys! :)
This monkey was such a show off! He would swing from branch to branch and then just hang there. And then start swinging all over again. The kids thought he was so great!

They have peacocks that just freely roam the zoo. It was pretty cool to see them up close.
Next we went to the petting zoo. Claire wasn't too sure about it at first.
But eventually all the kids starting petting the animals.
I laughed when I saw a llama there. Such an exotic animal...haha! It's not like we see them everyday in our backyard. :)
We let the kids have a quick break from the strollers and play on the playground.
Our little "chicks".
She was being such a little cheeser!
She was so proud of herself for sitting up there all on her own!
Little Seth was just worn out!
Allie on the hen.
Sammy thought it was great fun to throw all the bark into the nest.
Tossing some more in there. Such a boy!
Before we left, we made a few more stops.
Sammy and Savannah looking at an African dog.
Sammy kept saying, "Hi, pup!"
Allie and the flamingos.
We had such a fun time at the zoo! They kids loved the animals and spending time with their cousins. They are all at such a fun age where outings like this are so fun and exciting! Hopefully we will get to do it again soon!
